RideTec FAQ What model bikes do LidHaulers and LidCovers fit ? LidHaulers and LidCovers are specifically designed to only fit 1993-present Harley-Davidson touring models with Painted Hard Saddlebags. RoadKings FLHR, RoadGlides FLT, ElectraGlides FLH and StreetGlides FLX. Will LidHaulers or LidCovers damage my paint ? Absolutely not. RideTek products are designed with a soft underside that is not abrasive to paint. LidHaulers and LidCovers have been designed to fit tight on your saddlebag lids so movement does not occur. Will RideTek LidHaulers and LidCovers fit my bike if the Harley lid organizers are installed under the lids? Yes. LidHaulers and LidCovers will fit if you have installed the organizers under your lids. Do LidHaulers and LidSaks interfere with a passengers legs? No. A passengers legs are unaffected when using RideTek products. Will LidHaulers and LidCovers fit my 1993-present Harley-Davidson O.E.M. fiberglass saddlebags if I have installed chrome trim rails on my lids ? No, LidHaulers and LidCovers will only fit if the trim rails are removed and the new Lid-Rail Removal Kit is used. NOTE: THE KIT IS A SPECIAL ORDER ITEM. IF YOU NEED ONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW I WILL ORDER IT ASAP! Will LidHaulers work if my bike has a Tour-Pak ? Yes, LidHaulers will work with Tour-Paks. You can carry the equivalant of one leather jacket on each side with a Tour-Pak installed. If you own an Electraglide Ultra Classic the passenger arm rests and stereo speakers will not allow a great amount of gear to be strapped to LidHaulers. How do LidHaulers and LidCovers attach to my saddlebag lids ? LidHaulers and LidCovers come with high temperature adhesive backed Velcro strips that need to be installed on the inside of each lid. The smooth inner lid surface MUST BE ROUGHED, then cleaned with isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) and allowed to dry prior to installation. Following initial installation, remove LidHaulers or LidCovers and allow the adhesive Velcro to bond without stress for 24 hours. Will my saddlebags remain water-tight. Your saddlebags will retain the original sealing qualities. If your weather strips are cracked and hard, replacements are available at your local H-D dealer. Are LidHaulers, LidCovers and LidSaks sold only in pairs? Yes, all products must be purchased in pairs. When traveling do I need to remove LidHaulers each night when nothing is strapped to them ? No. You can leave LidHaulers attached, just remember to place the web straps inside of each saddlebag and lock them prior to riding. Will LidHaulers fit my POLICE STYLE fiberglass saddlebags with the round opener on top. Yes. Police Style versions of LidHaulers are available. |
