The story behind the Plain Jane Dyna Saddlebags

I started selling motorcycle luggage in 2003. I have been looking for an affordable set of throw overs for Dyna's ever since. I checked out at least a dozen styles that claimed to fit a Dyna. The majority just didn't fit. I found a couple of very small over priced bags that did fit but I thought there had to be something better.

There are a variety of leather "Universal" throw over saddlebags on the market that claim to fit Harley Davidson Dyna Motorcycles. Most of these do not fit properly due to the geometry of the shocks and space between the shock and signal lights. They have to either be installed with the front of the bag over the shock or the motorcycle has to have expensive modifications made.

I designed the Plain Jane Dyna bags to fit your Dyna with no modifications. They are true throw overs. Very simple installation. In a couple of minutes you are ready to ride.

These saddlebags are designed to provide the maximum amount of storage space: approximately 790 cubic inches per saddlebag, while still clearing your pipes and offering a perfect fit.

We took the lessons learned from the XL Series saddlebags and incorporated them into the Dyna Plain Jane. Special attention was paid to stress points and center of gravity to assure that they hang correctly with a load and will hold up under heavy use.

Phase II: September 2010. We started with our super popular design and made major improvements throughout the bags. By using a stiff corrugated plastic interior box covered with a quality leather exterior we are able to bring you a stiffer set of saddlebags that hold their shape.
